This highly decorated project was created when Nicola watched a group of Mallard ducks paddling and feeding on a pond by the church in Old Milverton, Warwickshire. It is a masterclass in needlepainting and embellished crewel embroidery, and features Split Stitch, Stem Stitch, Back Stitch, Satin Stitch and variations, Long and Short Shading, Couching, Detached Chain Stitch, Whipped Back Stitch, Seed Stitch and Ribbon Work.
